New Certified Peace of Mind Vehicle Program
Vehicles that are current and up to 7 years old (currently models 2006-2012) and have less than 100,000 miles on them are eligible. Benefits of buying a Certified Peace of Mind vehicle include having a 105-plus point vehicle inspection, Carfax and/or Auto Check vehicle information report. Known damage, existing or repaired imperfections such as rock chips, windshield stars, door dings, dents or scratches are cosmetic only. A transferrable Manufacturer’s Warranty comes with the vehicle or CarsAndTrucksDirect.com will provide a Preferred Warranty 3-month/5000 mile Powertrain Warranty at no additional charge. Deductable applies. Additionally, vehicles with the 3-month/5000 mile Powertrain Warranty include 24/7 Towing, Tire & Battery Service, Lockout Assistance, Mechanical First Aid and Delivery Service during the same term. OUR VEHICLES HAVE BEEN INSPECTED!!
Call it a 140-point, 125-point, or our 105-point inspection process. It's largely a matter of how you count each of the services performed. As a result of some early feedback from customers and prospective customers, we are now including information regarding our inspection process in our Certified vehicle descriptions. We understand that you might want to see what inspections our vehicles have gone through, before you decide to buy them.
Included in our inspection process is the Carfax Report, and for those vehicles listed on eBAY (most are), the AutoCheck Report; plus the Interior and Exterior condition, the Engine and Cooling System items, the Electrical System, the Differential, Air Conditioning components, the Brake System, the Transmission, underneath the vehicle, the Suspension and Steering components and open recalls or campaigns. We also encourage you to obtain your own independent inspection to better understand what condition our vehicles are in.
In addition to the 95+ mechanical and operation items scrutinized, our inspection process also includes a 10-point detail process that assures you will receive a professionally clean and thoroughly inspected vehicle. We include the following areas in our detail:
1. Inspect, clean and dress all engine compartment items.
2. Inspect, vacume and clean all trunk carpeting or storage compartment areas.
3. Inspect, vacume and clean all carpeting, flooring, headliner and seating areas.
4. Inspect, clean and dress all interior, dashboard, door and trim panels.
5. Inspect and remove noxious odors if present.
6. Inspect glass for chipping-repair or replace; clean all glass inside and outside.
7. Inspect and clean headlamps removing any haze.
8. Inspect, wash, wax or polish exterior surfaces leaving tar-free, clean, smooth and bright.
9. Clean and polish wheels leaving clean and tar-free.
10. Clean and dress tires and other exterior plastics and chrome items.
And while the above list numbers only 10, the details include many numerous touch points that are not seperately counted.
